The Birds!!

We had planned to have a nice relaxing day at the beach enjoying the sun and the peacefulness.  Too bad things don’t always go as planned.

First off, a storm was brewing out in the gulf and it made for an extremely cloudy, windy, cool day.  When you have to sit wrapped up in a towel, you know it is not the best weather for hanging out at the beach.

Secondly, we weren’t aware that this particular beach had “rabid” seagulls. We were constantly bombarded by them watching our every move, just waiting for any type of food to emerge so they could swoop down and have their fill.

My middle DD said that it had always been her dream to see what it was like to be attacked by birds, so we gave her some leftover fries and told her to not be afraid to go after her dreams.  The following pictures depict her dreams being lived out.

Youngest DD got in on the action and luckily the birds weren’t so vicious with her.

They tried to throw fries on me and get some “funny ” pictures of my hysteria, but I caught on to their evil plan and threaten physical pain if they did 😎 .

All in all, it was just another family day that allowed us to make memories that we will remember fondly in the years to come.  Anything that produces those is always welcome.

  1. We get those too, but only in the warm months. They get pretty aggressive, don’t they?

Oh my word, that would be my nightmare. Your girls look amazingly brave and happy in the midst of it all though. LOL!
